To be named on Inc. Magazine’s list is a true honor. After collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. selected 475 honorees this year. Each nominated company took part in an employee survey conducted by Quantum Workplace, which included topics such as management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth, and overall company culture. Each organization’s benefits were audited to determine the overall score and ranking.
Out of thousands of submissions, Totem was selected. Why? Because we’re mindful of our commitment to “Be There for Everyone,” which begins with our own team members — from Senior-level management to hourly workers and their dependents. Our mantra, “Be There for Everyone,” is the filter through which we make all internal and external decisions. Simply put: It’s the foundation of our culture.
At Totem, being there for everyone is about being there for each other — in the office and at home. We’re there for each other (our work family), and we support our employees as they’re there for their families. A point of pride for us is this foundational belief: There’s never a reason to choose between family and work.
Receiving this honor for a second year lets us know that we are continually moving in the right direction by taking care of our people. We have always valued our employees and tried to make our “work home” a place that is comfortable, welcoming, and flexible — while helping each employee truly be their best self.
