The workshop proved to be an incredible gathering, bringing together professionals from various fields to learn, network, and share thought leadership. Throughout the day, attendees had the privilege of gaining knowledge and expanding their horizons in several areas.

Dr. Stevie Dawn Carter led a captivating session on effective communication for leaders. Her expertise gave attendees valuable insights into enhancing their leadership skills through improved communication practices.

Chris Deacon shared important legislative developments that are shaping our industry. Her session ensured that participants stayed informed and up-to-date with the latest changes and their implications for the rapidly changing healthcare landscape.

Michelle Barki from Medcom delivered a session on best practices for being prepared for and surviving a DOL audit. Her expertise equipped attendees with valuable strategies to navigate audits successfully.

Pepper Schafer from VeracityRx offered an in-depth exploration of how PBMs really work and how employers can save through better pharmacy strategies. Participants gained valuable knowledge to optimize their pharmacy benefits and achieve significant savings.

Navigating the Bermuda triangle of worker’s compensation, FMLA, and ADA was made easier through Alex Adkins‘ session. Attendees gained clarity and guidance on effectively managing these critical areas.

Jenifer Bologna from Jackson Lewis shared insights on the new PWFA and PUMP Act, along with an overview of FMLA compliance and outsourcing. Her session provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the latest legislation and its impact.

Jeff Sharpton from Transitions Retirement Benefits Group took participants down the rabbit hole of ERISA-compliant Medicare strategies. Attendees received valuable insights into optimizing benefits within the framework of ERISA regulations.

Robert Link from HealthJoy and Lorene Barulich from Nova Healthcare painted a compelling vision of the future of case management. Their session showcased how combining cutting-edge technology with robust medical management leads to cost savings and improved outcomes for both Plans and members.

We also wanted to share some exciting news from our Employee Benefits Summit that took place on Saturday night. Together, we surpassed our fundraising goal, raising over $250,000 for ALS research in partnership with Music Heals and Hop On A Cure. It was an amazing evening filled with incredible performances by Blackberry Smoke, John Driskell Hopkins, Yesterday’s Wine, James Otto, Clay Cook, Lilly Winwood, Kristian Bush, Kate and Corey, and Mutlu.
